Black Eyed Peas – Meet Me Halfway

Diciamocelo: con I Gotta Feelin’, forse ancor più che con Boom Boom Pow, i Black Eyed Peas hanno fatto proprio un gran bel lavoro, tanto che penso tutti noi abbiamo perso il conto delle volte che abbiamo sentito questa canzone girare nelle radio st’estate. Oserei dire che, se ci fosse ancora il Festivalbar, I Gotta Feelin’ l’avrebbe decisamente vinto.
Con un precedente del genere è quindi piuttosto intuibile comprendere quanto sarà difficile per il gruppo statunitense riottenere lo stesso indiscusso successo col terzo singolo del loro ultimo album (The E.N.D.).
Ebbene, nonostante questa premessa, credo di poter dire senza remore che Meet Me Halfway ha decisamente tutte le proprietà adatte a riuscire nell’impresa: con un ritmo più improntato all’hip hop rispetto al titolo precedente, promette di regalare grandi emozioni in questo freddo inverno.
